Mechanical Puzzles

Introduction

This page is about mechanical puzzles, such as Rubik's cube or the well-known 15-piece sliding block puzzle. If you are looking for crossword-puzzles or jigsaws, you have come to the wrong place (of course there are exceptions).

Puzzle people

Here is my list of puzzle people. I created it to practice with XML-technology: I put the names and website-addresses in an XML-file that is displayed using this XSL-transformation. The html-file of the first hyperlink in this paragraph uses javascript to bind the XML and XSL together.

Another way to display the XML-file is to load it into an RSS-reader.

From my collection

Here are some puzzles from my collection which I particularly like. Either because they are beautifully made, enjoyable to try and solve, mathematically interesting or have a surprising solution.
